Notes from All Over August 2007

There was no meeting in  July—we hope everyone  had a happy and safe holiday!

The cookbook is about to  be released! Leah says that  all the recipes have been  turned in, and as of mid-July  should take 4-6 weeks. The  wait is almost over! Thanks  to all contributors and volunteers on the project—we  can’t wait to see the finished  product.

Notes From All over - April

Thank you to Kristin JaydJimenez for the speaker recap, and to Jean Bonnen for her book review!

Thanks also to Eliat & Enrique Schmalbach for allowing us to visit their garden for this month’s newsletter.

The meeting in July falls on  July 4th this year. We will be  holding a vote at the next  meeting to see if we want to  have an informal gathering  for the holiday, or to cancel or postpone the meeting.  Your input is valuable, so  come out & be heard!

Notes from All Over - March 2007

Kristin Jayd-Jimenez is the new  programming vice president.  If you have program requests, wish to present a  program, or know someone who would like to present,  let Kristin know!

The newsletter is seeking gardeners willing to be profiled  in future issues. Please let us  know if you are interested.  Thank you to those who  voted (all 10 of you) for the  newsletter’s new name. The  final count was 6 in favor of  The Herbal Scoop, 4 in favor of The Herb Jar.

Notes from All Over

Thank you to Leila Werner for  her contributions of bell  pepper and
cabbage plants  for members to adopt at the  meeting.

Get ready for the Asian Arts  Festival! This event is coming on March
3rd and 4th, and we will have an informational booth there. If you
are interested in helping out,  let Kristin or Tracy know!  There will
be a sign up sheet  at the February meeting  also.

John Thorp enlightened us about a terrific deal from  Home Depot. They
sell pallets of torn bags of various  gardening materials at a
fantastic bargain price.
